The story is about the founding document :Treaty of Waitangi because it's an agreement between the Queen of England and more than five hundred maori chiefs.They believe that it will give them protection and it will stop all the wars from happening.

Ross Calmen wrote this story because it will remind us about the Treaty of Waitangi once a year.

The main idea is the Treaty of Waitangi and the supporting detail that helped us was the title: The Treaty of Waitangi.

What did you find interesting as you were reading today?

The most interesting part of the story I read about is that pakeha hunted before maori because Maori didn’t have any hunting weapons and they didn’t know what to do.
