Moana-
Good evening TPS and teachers, this week for samoan language week, room 7 made a Siapo and read a story about the Samoan history called “Samoan independence”.
This is how we made our siapo, because we didn’t have the raw materials so we improvised by using cardboard and paint.

First, we grabbed a piece of cardboard paper and drew our designs on them

Next, we drew our design with pencil then we went over it with black paint or vivid so we can highlight our siapo.
After that we painted it with colours, most kids used primary colours or colours from the Samoan flag, Mrs Tafea was super impressed about our siapo artwork.

Lastly we let them dry overnight. So after the artworks were dried up, Mrs Tafea had to cut the white parts around the siapo. She cutted them in squares so she could put them on a big piece of paper.
